CharityVision — a nonprofit focused on empowering physicians in developing countries to overcome curable blindness and poor vision — expects to raise $1 million at its second annual Fight Night fundraising event, which will reportedly allow them to perform 40,000 sight-restoring surgeries.

The black-tie event will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Rail Event Center in Salt Lake City, UT. Participants in the event include ten-time world champion in six weight classes and Golden Boy Promotions Chairman and CEO Oscar De La Hoya and host of “Extra” and boxing enthusiast Mario Lopez.

Based in Utah, CharityVision provides medical equipment, clinics, vision screenings, eye surgeries, and training to doctors in poverty-stricken areas across the globe. In 2015, CharityVision reportedly saw almost 400,000 patients, donated over 70,000 pair of glasses, and performed over 42,000 surgeries.
