Photocoagulator Probes

A photocoagular probe is used to target the delivery of energy directly to where it is needed in the retina. The probes are normally available in a variety of gauges and models — including straight, curved, flexible curved and steerable — depending on what is needed by the surgeon. Many photocoagulator probes are compatible with various laser systems, and many are also designed with ergonomics in mind to help make them easier and more comfortable to use.

DescriptionThe DioPexy probe is indicated for transscleral retinal photocoagulation (TSRPC) and has been shown to be a safe and effective means of creating chorioretinal adhesion during retinal detachment surgery. The shape of its tip automatically enables easyIRIDEX's EndoProbe Handpieces are designed to target the retina to deliver precise energy exactly where you need it. The EndoProbe Adjustable & Intuitive (Finger or Thumb) Handpieces use a patented design that allows for continuous adjustment of IRIDEX's EndoProbe Handpieces are designed to target the retina to deliver precise energy exactly where you need it. The EndoProbe Passive Fluted Aspirating Handpiece is for subretinal fluid aspiration associated with tears and detachments. Designed
Features
  • Shape of tip automatically enables easy indentation for efficient and consistent transmission through scleral tissue
  • Accuracy is assured through transillumination of the retina with the aiming beam
  • Ability to treat through a solid silicone buckling element of Molteno plate
  • Patented design allows continuous adjustment of fiber optic over a wide range of angles
  • Provides full coverage of peripheral retina without removing probe from eye
  • Extends in logical motion, forming a greater angular deflection as slider is advanced
  • Available in 20G, 23G, and 25G in finger or thumb adjustable models
  • For subretinal fluid aspiration associated with tears and detachments
  • Combines the utility of passive aspiration and endophotocoagulation in a single device
  • Designed for surgeons who prefer to control the rate of fluid extrusion with their finger
  • Available in 20G model
