Retinal Photocoagulation Lasers are used to treat a variety of eye diseases including the two leading causes of blindness in the United States: Diabetic Retinopathy and Age-related Macular Degeneration. This precision laser can lower the risk of vision loss by cauterizing ocular blood vessels. Two types of Photocoagulation Lasers are used for conditions like Diabetic Retinopathy. The first is Focal Photocoagulation, which treats specific leaking blood vessels in the retina. The second is Scatter or Pan-retinal Photocoagulation; this type is used for more widespread damage over the retina. The risk of using a Retinal Photocoagulation Laser are low and side affects are rarely severe. Retinal Photocoagulation Lasers are often combined with other lasers to encompass a multitude of Ophthalmological surgical procedures. Deciding on which Retinal Photocoagulation Laser or combination laser for your practice depends on practice size, common procedures, patient dynamics as well as monetary investment.

Description | Combining the optimum 577 nm wavelength with the most complete and comprehensive configuration, Streamline 577 offers ophthalmologists a far superior treatment solution. | Endpoint Management utilizes advanced algorithms to control both power and exposure time of the laser. Using initial settings determined during titration, the system will guide laser output to deliver controlled, repeatable dose within therapeutic | The PASCAL Photocoagulator is Topcon Medical Laser Systems (TMLS)'s premier, fully integrated pattern scanning system. Based on the groundbreaking PASCAL Method, PASCAL allows physicians to control the precision, safety, and efficiency of the | PASCAL Streamline™ Photocoagulator combines core PASCAL® technology with enhanced patterns and powerful reporting. Designed from treating over 500,000 patients and delivering 25 million patterns, Streamline continues the PASCAL legacy of | The PASCAL® Synthesis™ is Topcon’s premiere dual-port pattern scanning retinal laser, available in both 532 nm and 577 nm wavelengths. Synthesis is designed to integrate with Topcon SL-D7 and Haag-Streit style slit lamps, with pricing similar to a |
Features | Less scatter compared to 532 nm or other "yellow" wavelengths (561/568 nm). Less patient discomfort Using lower power and shorter pulses result in less trauma and less pain. Less "spread" after treatment Treat closer to the macula; with fewer competing chromophores. More efficient Gives more consistent laser lesions without the need for constant power adjustments throughout the procedure. More Precise Longer wavelength allows better penetration through cataracts or hazy media to help concentrate laser application. More discerning visualization Red-free filers allow better visualization and landmark recognition, making this an exceptional teaching tool. Exclusively available in single-wavelength 577 nm systems. More versatile and reliable Known and preferred for use in the macula, the 577 now has 2000 mW of deliverable power, capable of doing all a 532 nm can do, with improved clinical efficiency. 577 nm: EFFICIENT, SAFE AND SECURE The longer wavelength of the 577 better targets the RPE with less scatter than 532 or 561 nm lasers. The combined absorption by both melanin and the oxyhemoglobin makes the 577 more efficient. Energy is concentrated to a smaller volume allowing use of lower powers and shorter pulse durations. Versatility of Streamline Modules Video teaching system with integrated video camera and monitor Patterned Laser Trabeculoplasty (PLT) module. | - Fine control of laser output to delivery visible or non-visible laser applications.
- Ability to "Landmark" the treatment area to confirm laser delivery.
- Available as an upgrade to existing PASCAL, Streamline and Streamline 577 laser systems.
| Inquire | Precision and Control from PASCAL Technology PASCAL's unique method controls laser delivery in four ways, enabling greater precision and control at the tissue level: - Short pulse duration
- less heat diffusion to the retina and choroid
- targeted burns with less collateral damage to surrounding tissue
- Continuous laser pulse directed by three high speed galvanometers
- uniform, predictable pulses
- Precise pattern spacing
- consistently spaced burns, minimizing overlap
- Safety checks of galvo position and power
Power and Simplicity of Enhanced Patterns PASCAL Streamline's 2R/G software provides easy access to tens of thousands of patterns. - With the touch of a finger, create arrays, lines and rectangles
- With one foot pedal depression, encircle a tear with a triple ring
- Without taking your eyes off the oculars, deliver sequential patterns
Robust and Tailored Reporting Unique PASCAL data can be coupled with patient information to: - Automatically generate a detailed printed summary of each Streamline procedure
- Confirm patient identity prior to treatment and document that safety checks are performed
- Search treatment history and produce detailed usage reports to ensure that every procedure is captured for billing
Versatility of Streamline Modules - Video teaching system with integrated video camera and monitor
- Patterned Laser Trabeculoplasty (PLT) module.
| - New compact space-saving portable design, ideal for use in an outpatient clinic or operating room
- PASCAL precision and control technology at NEW more affordable pricing
- Available in both 532 nm and 577 nm wavelengths
- Adapter compatible with tower style diagnostic slit lamps
- Intuitive touchscreen interface with a variety of patterns
- Dual ports offer the convenience of interchanging between an LIO or laser probe
- Optional Endpoint Management technology for less-damaging sub-threshold treatment of a variety of retinal disorders
