Earlier this week at the Royal College of Ophthalmology Congress, D-EYE™ introduced its new D-EYE 2.0 ImageSelect™ application, and named Grafton Optical as its distributor in the U.K.
D-EYE 2.0 ImageSelect™ is reportedly a new application version of the company's digital eye examination and retinal screening tool that adapts a smartphone to allow physicians to view and record high-definition images and video of the posterior of the eye. The application reportedly offers step-by-step instructions, allowing users to record a video of the retina of either a miotic or mydriatic eye in seconds. The examiner can also select individual frames from the video to save as images that can then be saved to a patient's file or shared with colleagues, while meeting international patient privacy standards.
And D-EYE announced the appointment of ophthalmic instrument supplier Grafton Optical as its U.K. distributor. Additionally, Grafton Optical will reportedly continue to support several relevant U.K.-based research studies and comparison evaluations being conducted at hospitals and institutions in the U.K.
