D-EYE to Introduce iPhone 7 Ophthalmoscope System and ImageSelect Application Upgrade at ARVO 2017

D-EYE plans to introduce its new product model and application improvements, including the iPhone 7 system and the new ImageSelect™ application, at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) 2017 Conference in Baltimore next month.

Introduced in 2015, the low-cost smartphone-based digital ophthalmoscope is reportedly being used by numerous specialists who have used a traditional ophthalmoscope as part of their examination practice. Various clinical comparison studies have reportedly been published over the last year including focusing on glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and hypertension as broad examples of what D-EYE can see, and several more studies will reportedly publish in 2017.

The new ImageSelect application reportedly allows users to convert high-definition video fundoscopy into single images. Through the application, users can select specific frames from the video to save as individual jpeg or PDF images. A LAN share feature reportedly has been developed that moves the onboard application based HIPAA compliant patient file to a local area network for Windows PCs and Macs. The user can also preset and post edit photo settings to adjust or enhance images.
