 Envision Names New Fellows for Low Vision Rehabilitation Research

Envision recently announced two new fellowships have been awarded for postdoctoral low vision rehabilitation research studies to Dr. Güler Arsal at the University of Huddersfield’s School of Human & Health Sciences in the United Kingdom, and Rajkumar Nallour Raveendran, a doctoral candidate focused on vision sciences at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.

Arsal will reportedly focus on the topic "Improving Public Transportation Accessibility: Using Cognitive Task Analysis Techniques to Generate Design Recommendations and Create Prototypes of Design Concepts." And Raveendran will reportedly study "Transcranial Brain Stimulation and Visual Rehabilitation."

According to Envision, this is their third incoming class of research fellows and are part of their efforts to train a new pool of researchers focused on low vision rehabilitation research. Both Arsal's and Raveendran's research will be based out of the Gigi and Carl Allen Envision Research Institute (ERI) and sponsored by Envision’s sister National Industries for the Blind agencies ibMilwaukee and LC Industries, respectively.
