 Glaucoma Research Foundation to Host Glaucoma 360, Award Ophthalmologist with Highest Honor

The Glaucoma Research Foundation will host the 6th Annual Glaucoma 360 in San Francisco from February 2-4, 2017, during which ophthalmologist Dr. Eugene de Juan Jr. at at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), will be honored with the Foundation's highest honor, the Catalyst Award.

The three-day Glaucoma 360 event is dedicated to highlighting innovation in glaucoma. Scheduled programs include the New Horizons Forum on February 3rd, featuring a lecture on "Optical Coherence Tomography -- Past, Present, and Future," as well as presentations on glaucoma pharmaceuticals, drug delivery and devices. And on Saturday, February 4th, the program will include two continuing medical education symposia for ophthalmologists and optometrists.

On February 2nd, Glaucoma 360's Annual Gala will take place at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. During the gala, Dr. de Juan, founder and vice-chairman of ForSight Labs and the Jean Kelly Stock Distinguished Professor of Ophthalmology at UCSF, will be presented with the Catalyst Award for his work in developing new and innovative technologies to preserve vision.

The Foundation will also honor Janette Márquez, an opera singer who is blind from congenital glaucoma, with the Visionary Award for her dedication in raising awareness about glaucoma.
