Schwind, Ziemer To Form Cooperation

BERLIN — Schwind eye-tech-solutions and Ziemer Ophthalmic Systems announced the two companies will join together in a marketing alliance. In a joint press release at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeon's annual meeting, the companies said that Ziemer's Femto LDV femtosecond laser and the Amaris excimer laser from Schwind are complementary. The release said the goal of the companies was to offer integration for all-laser LASIK from one source by combining their two laser systems.
