Oakland, New Jersey – July 5, 2012 – Topcon Medical Systems announces the commercial introduction to the US and Latin American markets of the new CL-300 Computerized Lensmeter. With innovative technology combined with ease-of-use features, the CL-300 is the latest generation of Topcon computerized lensmeters. Its compact, ergonomic design and intuitive touch screen panel, ensures that eyecare practitioners and technicians obtain comprehensive data and accurate measurements easily and quickly.
Incorporating many of the features from previous Topcon lensmeters, the CL-300 adds several new features including a new UV transmittance measurement function that provides reliable measurement results for eyeglasses and sunglasses in the range of 0% to 100%. The new multifocal lens measurement ensures that mono- and multifocal lenses can be easily measured, and the CL-300 also features automatic detection for single and progressive lenses.
The CL-300 incorporates the green-light reading beam, which enhances lens measurement precision. It also offers improved lens support, enabling smooth and trouble-free measurement of high-curve lenses.
Available in two models, the CL-300P and the CL-300PDL allowing PD measurements, the CL-300 has a fast, easy-to-load printer and a large 5.7 inch monitor, and can be easily connected to the Topcon CV-5000S Computerized Vision Tester and to EMRs.
