 ASRS Launches New VitreoRetinal Diseases Journal

The American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) has announced the launch of the Journal of VitreoRetinal Diseases (JVRD), which will cover the rapidly growing area of retina research.

Published by SAGE Publishing, the new journal will reportedly focus exclusively on original basic, translational and clinical research papers across the spectrum of vitreoretinal diseases. Submissions will include full and brief research articles, clinical trials, case studies, review articles, interviews and more. Dr. Donald J. D’Amico, professor and chairman of ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College and ophthalmologist-in-chief at New York-Presbyterian Hospital will serve as editor-in-chief of the new journal.

The Journal of VitreoRetinal Diseases will reportedly appear in print and online in early 2017. Those interested in submitting articles can find information on the process here
