NIDEK Unveils NAVEX Quest M2 Advanced Vision Excimer Laser System

NIDEK Co., Ltd. recently unveiled its NAVEX Quest M2 NIDEK Advanced Vision Excimer Laser System, which combined the Quest M2 excimer laser system, the OPD-Scan III whole eye aberrometer and corneal topographer, and the Final Fit™ software, reportedly providing all the tools necessary for topography-guided/wavefront-guided refractive surgery and therapeutic procedures.

The redesigned Quest M2 reportedly includes a 1 kHz Eye Tracking System (ETS) to compensate for eye movements and help ensure accurate delivery of the laser pulses during treatment. The OPD-Scan III offers information on wavefront aberrometry, corneal topography, refraction, keratometry, and pupillometry, all in one unit. And the Final Fit software uses OPD-Scan III data to perform a simulation of postoperative corneal shape and generate excimer laser shot data.

According to NIDEK, the NAVEX Quest M2 NIDEK Advanced Vision Excimer Laser System is not currently approved by the U.S. FDA for distribution in the United States.
