  • Description: The Awaya stereo test was developed to test for both crossed and uncrossed disparities. The Awaya Stereo test employs the more reliable red/green glasses to provide image separation eye to eye. It is not dependent on polarizing spectacles which can be quite tricky to use. The first target is an attractive image of a butterfly which makes the test less fearful and more attractive for children. It also includes an additional full test plate specifically designed for subject-patients with eso deviations. This type of test-plate is not available in any other stereo test.

  • Description: This "natural" Stereotest consists of three test plates(6mm, 3mm, and 1.5mm thick), which permit stereo acuity measurements in a range of 600 - 15 seconds. No special glasses are required. The hidden shape can only be detected if stereopsis is present. Test plates can be presented separately without the risk of the patient learning the correct answer.   • Description: The Lang Stereotest was created to simplify stereopsis screening in children. It is based on two principles: random dots and cylindrical gratings. Lang Stereotest II measures disparities: Moon and Star are 200, car 400 and elephant 600 seconds of arc plus monocularly visible star. In the new Lang II test, the random dots are smaller and less dense. This disparity is finer, namely 200 seconds of arc for the moon and the star, 400 for the car, and 600 for the elephant when viewed at a distance of 40cm. The monocularly visible star helps attract and maintain the interest of small children. It also gives the patient without binocular vision the satisfaction of having seen something at all.
