The E2 and the Endo Optiks Triple function micro-endoscopes are use to perform Endoscopic CycloPhotocoagulation, better known as ECP. ECP is a surgical approach to glaucoma management that employs light, endoscopy and visualized laser application. The ciliary body (which produces aqueous humour) is viewed by the surgeon, from the anterior or posterior segment, through the endoscope in real time. The target tissues are easily and accurately identified utilizing endoscopy and an integrated aiming beam (640nm diode laser). This allows discrete treatment of the targeted ciliary processes with clear laser ablation and minimized trauma to peripheral (non targeted) tissues. ECP is especially suited for combination with cataract surgery, it is titratable and ECP can treat all forms of glaucoma.
The OME 2000 includes the Console housing the diode laser, light source and video camera, a separate footswitch control, and flight case. Also available are a medical Grade Monitor and a Cart designed for compatibility with modern operating rooms.
The E4 Endoscopy Surgical System is used for retina surgery and can be combined with other 810nm diode lasers to perform ECP for glaucoma. The OME4000 includes the Console housing a 175 watt Xenon light and high resolution video camera, and flight case
All Endo Optiks High Resolution Series of Micro-endoscopes can be sterilized by standard autoclave methods and reused multiple times before disposing.
Endo Optiks Series of Dual Function Micro-endoscopes are designed to combine light and video in a single probe for retina surgery and diagnostic procedures. The Dual Function Series also feature a 10,000 pixel fiber optic bundle, a 120⁰ field of view and are available in Straight tip (20G) and Curved tip (20G). All Endo Optiks Triple and Dual Micro-Endoscopes can be sterilized by standard autoclave cycles and reused multiple times before disposing.
