CheckedUp Launches New Waiting Room Platform, Partners with TearScience

CheckedUp — maker of a specialty point of care platform that actively engages patients before, during and after visiting the practice — recently launched their new waiting room platform, CheckedUp Explorer, at the 2017 American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) meeting, and announced a partnership with TearScience® to impact dry eye patient education.

CheckedUp Explorer is reportedly an enhanced waiting room TV platform providing an immersive learning experience for patients. Through the product, patients can learn about different eye diseases, procedures and treatments. And practices can use the system to promote new procedures through videos, custom commercial spots and call-outs, helping to lead to higher premium procedure adoption. CheckedUp Explorer reportedly includes a 43” flat panel TV, engaging full-motion HD video programming that is updated on a monthly basis, and lifetime system maintenance.
