Zeiss Holds Optics Symposium, Honors Research Award Winners

Zeiss recently held its "Optics in the Digital World" symposium, during which the company honored two researchers whose work may have pioneering applications in medical technology.

The Zeiss symposium reportedly brought together about 200 international experts to discuss trends in optical technologies, including computer-aided image processing and augmented and virtual reality. Medical technology was mentioned as a strategic research field in the coming years for these types of technologies, including immersive microscopy and virtual reality headsets, data gloves and other devices.
