Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Imaging Systems

Optical Coherence Tomography, or OCT, is advanced technology used for retinal imaging and analysis. This technology provides highly detailed images of the retina as well as the optic nerve. These cross-sectional images are viewable in 2D and 3D, allowing for topographical mapping of the eye including macular thickness. Various pathology can be detected using this non-contact technology such as Glaucoma and Keratoconus. Some OCT products boast additional features such as Microperimetry. OCT is also extremely helpful to measure the changes in a patients eyes overtime and can be beneficial pre and post-operatively for cataract patients.

Another important aspect of Optical Coherence Tomography is the ability to remotely access images and data with vendor software. If the product is DICOM compatible, this information can be input into the Electronical Medical Records (EMR) system to be viewed by various healthcare professionals regardless of location. Regardless of which OCT product chosen, be sure the vendor is reputable and will provide support and service for their product.

DescriptionTriton uses swept source technology to allow visualization into the deepest layers of the eye – even through cataracts, hemorrhages, gas bubbles and other media opacities, making it possible for more patients to be imaged. The fast 100 kHz scanning Maestro2 is the user-friendly OCT-Fundus Camera system that automatically performs alignment, focus and capture with a single touch. The resulting reports enable comprehensive analysis of the macula, optic disc and anterior segment. Reports can be
