Corneal Topographer

Corneal Topography also referred to as Photokeratoscopy and Videokeratoscopy, is a technique that is used to map the curved surface of the Cornea. This can help measure the quality of vision as well as assist in LASIK surgery and the fitting of contact lenses. This procedure is non-invasive and painless to the patient. These procedures are the most common among Ophthalmology and Optometry practices and ample consideration for Corneal Topography is important.

Some vendors offer Corneal Topographers that also include other applications; such as Pupillometers and Tear film analyzers. When purchasing a Corneal Topographer, decide on which applications are necessary and consider future growth of a practice. A product that encompasses multiple applications may fit best.
