Glare tests are typically used to quantify and assess the progression of cataracts. These devices are also useful in determining the extent of glare following LASIK procedures. Glare assessment may soon become a regular part of eye exams for people over 50 years of age. Individuals with high glare should be instructed to be extra cautious while driving at night.
