Dr. Irina Bykhovskaya has provided us with a look at her Grand Rounds presentation of a unique retinopathy. The case clearly illustrates value of high-resolution digital fundus photography, red-free images, fluorescein angiography and the full panel of visual function tests, to aid in the differential diagnosis of genetic diseases of the retina. Still, no amount of data can replace shrewd diagnostic expertise. The accurate diagnosis achieved in this case is quite remarkable.
