Robert L. Stamper, MD
Robert L. Stamper, MD, has served as professor of clinical ophthalmology and director of the glaucoma service at the University of California, San Francisco since 1998. He has served on the Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF)
board since 1987, and he currently chairs GRF’s practice development committee.
Dr Stamper is the past chairman of ophthalmology at Pacific Medical School in California and was president of the American Glaucoma Society from 1998 to 2000. He is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr Stamper has received the Senior Honor Award of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Statesmanship Award of the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. He is published extensively.
