Mark Werner, M.D.
Dr. Mark Werner graduated magna cum laude in chemistry at Cornell University and later finished AOA at New York Medical College. He pursued his ophthalmic career at the University of Florida followed by a one year clinical
glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Werner is now a board certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist working alongside Dr. Elizabeth Hodapp as part of the Glaucoma Consultants of Florida located in Miami-Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach counties. Dr. Werner’s referral practice is limited to glaucoma consultation, glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery for glaucoma patients. He is a volunteer faculty member and assistant professor at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami and volunteers at community health screenings. Dr. Werner has coauthored papers in the areas of laser trabeculoplasty, pseudophakic glaucoma, and pediatric glaucoma surgery.
