SRD Vision
New York, NY (November 29, 2011) – William Seiple, PhD, VP of Research and Director of the Arlene R. Gordon Research Institute at Lighthouse International, has agreed to be a Scientific Advisor to SRD Vision, LLC. Lighthouse International is a leading non-profit organization that helps people of all ages who are at risk for or are experiencing, vision loss. Dr. Seiple is recognized as a world renowned expert on vision perception and low-vision rehabilitation. During his career in vision research, he has published over 130 peer-reviewed articles and chapters. He currently serves on several editorial boards and on advisory boards to industry. Dr. Seiple has participated on several ARVO and other international professional organization committees. His PhD is from the University of Illinois.

SRD Vision, LLC is developing the Salzburg Reading Desk™ (SRD™) into a commercial product. The SRD helps eye care professionals assess near and intermediate reading acuity utilizing a high resolution monitor, stereophotogrammetry and software that presents progressively smaller sentences. With the SRD, reading acuity is assessed at the patients preferred reading distance or at fixed distances.
For US sales, SRD Vision is awaiting FDA classification. Work towards a CE mark is in progress.
