Convenient Floor And Table Stands For Displaying Low Vision Charts

Richmond Products

Instead of propping up low vision charts on a chair or against a wall or table, maximum convenience is now afforded by using the new Low Vision Chart stands from Richmond Products. Changing charts is simple and fast with the stand’s unique chart holder.

Richmond Products offers a choice of floor or table stands for displaying low vision Lea Numbers™ and Lea Symbols™ charts during eye examinations. The stands add convenience for the physician, a more professional look and more efficient exam time with patients.

The floor stand has a weighty 10-inch (25.4 cm) base and is extendible in height to the top of the chart holder from 48 inches (122 cm) to 76 inches (193 cm). The table stand’s base is 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter.

These stands are partnered with the Lea Symbols or Numbers Low Vision Chart Sets. The Lea designs were developed by Dr Lea Hyvarinen and tested for efficacy against international standards. Traditional Low Vision Chart Sets, used for many years, do NOT have Optotype Numbers that blur out at the same distance whereas the Lea (both Symbols and Numbers) are well tested to blur out at the same distance. This means that measures of acuity with these older chart types vary depending upon what number the patient missed and are therefore not as valid.
