The German Court has reportedly granted a preliminary injunction in favor of VSY Biotechnology BV and against Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in the action brought by VSY Biotechnology against Zeiss, with allegation that it had provided misleading information to the public in its press release.
Back in March, OphthalmologyWeb reported Zeiss had won a patent infringement suit regarding a trifocal intraocular lens (IOL), with the District Court of Düsseldorf/Germany ruled against VSY Biotechnology BV and its exclusive distribution partner Fritz Ruck Ophthalmologische Systeme GmbH.
In April, VSY Biotechnology announced it planned to appeal the judgement.
