Cirle Reveals Latest 3D Surgical Navigation System

Medical technology incubator Cirle, Inc. recently revealed its latest 3D Surgical Navigation System — SNS 200 — for cataract surgery at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) 2017 annual meeting earlier this month.

The Cirle Navigation System (SNS) is reportedly an investigational system for which Circle is completed U.S. FDA registration. The system is reportedly an ophthalmic image communications device that performs annotation of the source image data provided by compatible surgical microscopes, providing smart work flow automation to help increase efficiency throughout the surgery. The new system also reportedly includes digital image registration for truly marker-less tracking and guidance, and a slim-line guidance console with a minimal footprint in the surgical suite.
