CareCredit recently signed an agreement with Citibank, N.A. to acquire the Citi Health Card portfolio, further expanding its healthcare acceptance network in the United States.
The portfolio acquisition reportedly includes more than 14,500 providers, further expanding CareCredit’s national network of more than 200,000 healthcare providers and health-focused retail locations. The portfolio also includes more than 110,000 current Citi Health Card consumer accounts.
Citi Health Card credit accountholders will reportedly receive detailed information about the CareCredit program, and CareCredit plans to offer program orientation and training materials to participating providers. New CareCredit account numbers will reportedly be issued to Citi Health Card accountholders in mid-February, followed by new CareCredit credit cards to replace their existing card.
