Pediatric Ophthalmologist Publishes Book on Children with Expressive Personalities

Pediatric ophthalmologist Dr. Judith Doctor has published a new book about children with expressive personalities.

In "The Tudes," Doctor reportedly explains her belief that babies are essentially born with their personalities in place. And while it's up to adults to mold the child into someone who exhibits behaviors that conform to certain societal standards and expectations, it can also decrease creativity and discourage spontaneous behavior.

"The Tudes" is Doctor's second book — her first, "Children’s Eyes: A Guide to Understanding," is reportedly a basic guide to the proper approach to children's eye care. Doctor also reportedly initiated the screening of premature infants in the nursery of Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut, ultimately leading to the establishment of specific guidelines the hospital must meet before discharging premature infants to their homes.
