Study Reports 20-Year Trends In Glaucoma Prevalence, Treatment

Ophthalmologists are more likely to initiate glaucoma treatment at lower baseline IOP levels now than they were 20 years ago, according to a new analysis of data from the Marshfield Clinic Personalized Medicine Research Project. In addition, the study found that prostaglandin analogs have become the most frequently prescribed IOP-lowering drug in the past 2 decades.
