Vitamin Supplements Improve Vision In Patients With Macular Degeneration

Press Release 365

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of blindness in people over age 55 in the western world. It affects over 25 million people worldwide and this prevalence is expected to double by 2020. The TOZAL Study, recently published in the British medical journal BMC Ophthalmology, is the first therapy to improve vision in patients with dry AMD. Remarkably, the results of the TOZAL Study revealed that more than half (57%) of the subjects in the treated group improved at 6 months. In contrast to the well known natural course of AMD that demonstrates deterioration, nearly 77% treated with the nutritional supplement improved or stayed the same and only 23% worsened (but no worse than placebo).

"In my opinion, the TOZAL Study stands out as one of the most important medical developments in eye care during my 20 years in the field because it has the potential to reverse vision loss associated with age-related eye health issues," said Dr. Edward Paul, lead developer of the supplement used in the TOZAL Study. "Novel nutritional supplements provide new hope for patients with age-related eye health issues because we can now provide a benefit in vision for a significant number of patients."

Dr. Paul gives an informational interview and will give your viewers or listeners valuable information they can benefit from immediately. He'll share:

• Who is at risk for AMD and how they can reduce their chance of blindness by 70%
• How one simple action can improve an AMD patients' chances of recovery by 350%
