Global ophthalmic medical device company Quantel Medical recently introduced its new Easyret Photocoagulator Laser for macular and peripheral retinal pathologies.
The fully integrated 577 nm yellow photocoagulator is based on Quantel's proprietary ELBA fiber laser technology. The Easyret's ELBA fiber laser cavity reportedly delivers pure 577nm yellow wavelength in a uniform top-hat laser spot profile, and it has a broad range of settings for the treatment of pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy, macular edema and central serous chorioretinopathy.
