Clarke University recently received grant funding for a student research project studying potential glaucoma treatments.

Two biology assistant professors and three undergraduate students from the school's Biology Department have reportedly been researching the effectiveness of drugs used to lower eye pressure in patients with glaucoma to figure out how they act on the structure of the eye. The team has also been analyzing the expression of HEF-1 protein in ocular cells at several time points following drug treatment to determine its function.
