 Foundation Fighting Blindness to Hold National Conference in Baltimore

The Foundation Fighting Blindness (FBB) will hold VISIONS 2016, its annual national conference, next week from June 30 to July 3 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Md.

More than 400 people from around the globe are expected to attend the event, which will focus on the areas of gene, stem cell and pharmaceutical treatments to prevent, treat and cure blindness due to retinal diseases. Leading retinal researchers scheduled to present at VISIONS 2016 include Dr. David Gamm of the University of Wisconsin-Madison; Dr. Shomi Bhattacharya of University College, London; Dr. John Flannery of the University of California at Berkeley; Dr. Donald Zack of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Dr. Marco Zarbin of Rutgers News Jersey Medical School. Research presentations and discussions will include retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), leber congenital amaurosis, Stargardt disease and Usher syndrome.
