 Cassini TCA Announces Retrospective Study Results

Cassini TCA recently announced the results of a retrospective chart review of 50 consecutive patients comparing Cassini Total Corneal Astigmatism (TCA) to the Barrett calculator and the Baylor nomogram.

According to the company, Cassini TCA achieved a 94 percent accuracy within 0.50 D and 74 percent accuracy within 0.25 D postoperative manifest refractive cylinder, compared with 84 percent and 54 percent, respectively, for the Barrett toric calculator, and 79.4 percent and 50 percent for the Baylor nomogram. Cassini TCA announced these findings during the recent American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annual meeting.
