Dr. Giulio Ferrari from San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy has been named the 2016 winner of the inaugural Point Guard Biosciences, LLC (PGBio) Innovation in Ophthalmology Award.
Dr. Ferrari was selected for his work related to the use of neurokinin 1 receptor (NK1-R) antagonists to treat corneal neovascularization. As the winner, he will reportedly receive a cash prize of $10,000 and assistance from the PGBio team with the development of a business plan.
