Prevent Blindness recently announced the fifth annual Prevent Blindness Focus on Eye Health National Summit will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
Under the theme "Vision to Action: Collaborating Around a National Strategy," the event will feature a variety of presentations revolving around recommendations and strategies from a new National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, Health and Medicine Division (HMD) report on public health approaches to reduce vision impairment and promote eye health.
Also during the Summit, Prevent Blindness will hold the 11th annual Eyes on Capitol Hill event on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. This event brings together those directly impacted by vision loss and blindness with their governmental representatives.
