Symptomatic vitreous floaters reduce contrast sensitivity function; however, vitrectomy appears to be an effective approach to addressing this issue, according to recent study data.

The following is a photograph after fluorescein staining of a 40 year old patient with complaints of gritty sensation OU for the past several months. All of the following might be expected except:
1. increased tear break-up time
2. decreased tear meniscus
3. 5mm Schirmer test
4. filamentary keratitis
