Henderson Capsular Tension Ring (HCTR)

The Henderson Capsular Tension Ring (HCTR), Type 10 C made by Morcher is a modification of the original FDA approved Morcher Capsular Tension Ring. The HCTR is an open modified C-shape loop, made up of a single piece of rigid PMMA. The main advantage of the modification is that it will offer easier nuclear and cortical material removal by maintaining equal expansion of the capsular bag. Compared with conventional CTRs this new ring is modified from the original design by 8 equally spaced indentations of 0.15mm. The total expanded diameter is 12.10 mm.
