Mr. Vern Steffen:  Hi, I'm Vern Steffen.  I'm with Kowa Optimed, and today we're going to take a few minutes and discuss the Kowa Optimed Genesis Fundus Camera. 

This is a handheld fundus camera.  It is mydriatic; consequently, when we take a picture, we're going to want to first set the eyepiece for the refractive error of the operator. 

When we obtain an image, we're going to do that via a recording card.  This card allows us to capture the image to the card.  We can download it into any databasing program that's available that you might have in the practice.

This is the cover that we remove when we want to take the photo.  A spring-loaded device is on the system to help us in making the alignment as we view through the eyepiece.

Once we've obtained our focus, we're going to take a picture.  The LED is here to confirm our exposure, as well as our image quality.  We'll get immediate feedback on the LED on the side of the camera, and we can increase or decrease our flash exposure based on the outcome on the picture.
