CBS News Show to Feature Eye Surgeons Working to Eradicate Unnecessary Blindness

This Sunday's "60 Minutes" television program on CBS will spotlight two eye surgeons, Drs. Sanduk Ruit and Geoff Tabin, and how their organization, the Himalayan Cataract Project, is helping to restore sight to those suffering from cataracts.

The show will reportedly focus on the eye surgeons as they conduct a cataract and cornea surgery workshop in Myanmar (Burma) resulting in over 700 successful eye surgeries. The program will discuss the founding of the Himalayan Cataract Project and its efforts to partner with local teams throughout the developing world to improve eye care.

The "60 Minutes" show is expected to broadcast this Sunday, Sunday, April 16th at 7 pm ET/PT (check your local listings to confirm).
