Cole Eye Institute Retina and Cornea/Refractive Subspecialty Day to be Held Before ARVO

World-renowned experts to convene for CME educational symposia

San Diego, CA – February 19, 2014 – MCME Global Inc. together with Dannemiller announced this year’s Retina and Cornea/ Refractive Subspecialty Day CME educational symposia, will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Hilton Orlando Hotel before the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) annual meeting.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Retina Summit at ARVO, course director, Peter K. Kaiser, MD, recommended the addition of a cornea/refractive track to benefit the increasing specialties. “The landscape of cataract and refractive care is growing rapidly. I wanted to create a program that addressed those advances while maintaining the success of last year’s Retina Summit. Having two concurrent programs allows attendees the flexibility of attending a program strictly focusing on their own subspecialty or move between multiple subspecialties.”

The Retina Summit course will be directed by Peter K. Kaiser, MD, Rishi P. Singh, MD, and Sunil K Srivastava, MD, all of the Cole Eye Institute.

The Cornea/Refractive Summit course will be directed by William J. Dupps, Jr., MD, PhD, Ronald R. Krueger, MD, and Steven E. Wilson, MD, all of the Cole Eye Institute.

The full-day symposia are composed of didactic presentations and interactive case-based sessions to be directed by world-renowned experts in the field. Discussion sessions will be incorporated into each section to address outstanding knowledge gaps and maximize learning gain. An emphasis will be placed on interaction between participants and faculty for each program. The target audiences are general ophthalmologists, fellows, retina specialists, cornea and refractive specialists and other health care professionals.

Each summit will begin at 7:00 am and conclude at 5:30 pm. Early bird registration fees are $150 for physicians and $100 for students or non-physicians.

Residents and fellows are encouraged to contact MCME Global directly for a special educational discount, if registered by March 14, 2014. Single registration will allow access to any and all sessions offered. All attendees will receive both the Retina Summit and the Cornea/Refractive Summit schedules and will be able to move freely between programs. Two concurrent summits, one single registration!

The summits are jointly sponsored by Dannemiller and MCME Global, Inc. For additional information, including registration, faculty biographies, and accreditation information, please visit www.RCRSummits.com.
