Medication management solution provider DrFirst recently announced Eye Care Leaders (ECL) -- a provider of practice performance solutions for ophthalmologists and optometrists -- has integrated its medication management and e-prescribing technology into ECL's electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
Through the DrFirst integration, ECL physicians will reportedly have access to a comprehensive platform that combines medication reconciliation and e-prescribing functionalities, including e-prescribing for controlled substances. Practitioners will also have DrFirst's Patient Advisor program that helps better identify "at risk" patients who have a history of non-adherence or clinical care gaps, as well as financial, behavioral and clinical resources to help physicians support patients between office visits.
