Description

The Pentacam® is a rotating Scheimpflug camera which captures Scheimpflug images of the anterior eye segment. It is designed for the needs of Refractive, Cataract and Glaucoma surgeons as well as for the needs of Optometrists The Scheimpflug technique provides sharp and crisp images that include information from the anterior corneal surface up to the posterior crystalline capsule. The Pentacam® provides a fully automatic analyzing, mapping and depiction of the complete anterior eye segment to save time and assure user independence.

The key advantages of the rotating imaging process are the precise measurement of the central cornea, the correction of eye movements via a second pupil camera, the easy operation for the users and the easy fixation for the patients and the extremely short examination and processing time. Pentacam® is DICOM compatible.
