Biomuse
BioControl Systems
Features:
The BioMuse is a bioelectric signal controller in a rack mountable package (17" X 14" X 3"), which allows users to control computer functions directly from muscle, eye movement, or brainwave signals, bypassing entirely the standard input hardware, such as a keyboard or mouse. It receives data from four main sources of electrical activity in the human body: muscles (EMG signals), eye movements (EOG signals), the heart (EKG signals), and brain waves (EEG signals). These signals are acquired using standard non-invasive transdermal electrodes. The BioMuse amplifies and digitizes the biosignals, and then processes the signals using Biocontrol's library of proprietary DSP algorithms. For a given application, the appropriate algorithm then outputs code to control virtually any digitally interfaced device.
Channels:
8
System Requirements:
IBM compatible PC, with available serial port running DOS 5.0 or higher. BioMuse software will run as a subtask of Microsoft Windows. Midi applications require a sound card.
