Adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) technology company Calhoun Vision, Inc., recently announced it has formally changed its name to RxSight™.
The company's product, Light Adjustable Lens (RxLAL™), reportedly allows physicians to make office-based refractive adjustments to the lens after the cataract is removed and the eye is stable. The IOL reportedly uses a proprietary light treatment that produces precise modifications in lens curvature, allowing doctors and patient to predictably optimize vision after cataract surgery through an office based IOL enhancement.
RxSight also announced the filing of its initial PMA with the U.S. FDA.
