Optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging has a demonstrated track record in the diagnosis and treatment of the anterior eye, crystalline lens and retina. In addition to the structural information contained in OCT images, functional information can also be obtained using OCT. Advances in OCT imaging are likely to alter the practice of Ophthalmology dramatically in the next several years.
