Indian Hospital Combats Blindness

Through a mixture of innovative business practices, new technologies and altruism, Aravind Eye Care Hospital created a new model for eliminating “needless blindness” in India, S. Aravind, an ophthalmologist working as an administrator at the hospital, said during a presentation in Kreindler Auditorium this Wednesday. The hospital, which has several locations in the Indian Tamil Nadu state, offers both free and fee-based care.
