 CareCredit Donates to Optometry Cares and Canine Companions for Independence; Celebrates 30th Anniversary

CareCredit® recently announced donations to Optometry Cares® — The American Optometric Association Foundation’s InfantSEE® program and Canine Companions for Independence, as well as plans to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a sweepstakes for cardholders.

Earlier this month, CareCredit announced it had bestowed a $25,000 grant to Optometry Cares for its InfantSEE program, marking the fifth consecutive year the company has contributed to the program. The grant will reportedly be used to expand awareness of InfantSEE to new parents through print advertising, brochures, signage and displays, as well as online efforts.

CareCredit also reported it was donating $50,000 to Canine Companions for Independence -- a nonprofit that trains assistance dogs to aid children and adults with disabilities, including vision loss. The donation will reportedly include a grant of $25,000 to Canine Companions’ Skilled Companion Program and $25,000 to its Veterans Initiative.
