Description
A unique combination of the successful Monoka and the familiar Crawford lacrimal intubation systems. One end of the stent features a silicone plug that anchors the system securely in place at the punctum. The other end is the olive tipped probe that facilitates retrieval from the nose using the Crawford hook. Thanks to the anchoring plug, the single tube which is cut in the nose requires no knots or sutures. Stent removal is easy – simply grasp the plug below it’s collarette and pull out of the punctum. The use of the Mono-Crawford is appropriate for congenital naso-lacrimal duct obstruction, laceration, or in cases where only one punctum is functional. The Mono-Crawford stents come with either 3mm or 4mm collarettes.
