This unique system uses prolene as thread-guide reducing time and trauma in lacrimal duct intubation. The hollow Ritleng Probe is inserted into the nasolacrimal duct and a thin prolene thread-guide is fed through it. The probe is then withdrawn leaving the polypropylene thread to pull the 300 mm 0.64 mm diam silicone tubing into place.
