Description
Membraneblue™ is a dye developed to stain intraocular membranes in vitreoretinal surgery, to visualize the I.L.M. and E.R.M.'s. By injecting Membraneblue™ in an air-filled vitreous cavity, the intraocular membranes are stained without diluting the dye. After removal of all excess dye under air, the blue stained membranes can easily be distinguished from the underlying, unstained retina after refilling the vitreous cavity with fluid. (MBB-05 MembraneBlue™, Sterile, 5 vials / 0,5ml. Patent Pending). Membrane staining is quick and easy to perform. Ready to use, no mixing required. Allows surgeons to clearly differentiate the l.L.M., E.R.M.'s and the retina. May reduce the risk of long-term complications, such as recurrent P.V.R. due to incomplete E.R.M.'s removal. Control staining following membrane removal, by reinjection to check if all membranes have been removed.
